School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Book Week
Date: Tuesday 9th September 2025
Time: 9:30am
Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate a love of reading. Students take part in fun activities throughout the week.
Whole School assembly
Date: Fridays Weeks 3, 6 and 9 (subject to change, check calendar)
Time: 2:15 - 3:00pm
Parents and carers are invited to attend the school assembly which will be held in the school hall.
P&C meeting
Date: Thursday Week 5 in Terms 1, 2, 3 and 4
Time: 7:00 pm
Join our vibrant P&C. Meetings are held week 5 of every term in B Block. Parents and carers are welcome to attend.
Stage 3 Birrigai Camp
Date: 25 - 27 February 2026
Time: 3 days
Birrigai Outdoor School offers schools a range of curriculum aligned programs that include First Nations culture, outdoor adventure and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities along with affordable onsite accommodation and catering options.
Surrounded by mountain peaks, native woodland and sheltered streams, Birrigai is located on Ngunnawal Country adjacent the Tidbinbilla Range and Namadgi National Park, with wildlife in abundance.
2026 Kindergarten Orientation Days
Date: Friday 14th, 21st and 28th November
Time: 9:30am-12:30pm
Gundaroo Public School runs a comprehensive kindergarten orientation program designed to help new students and their families transition smoothly into primary school. This program typically includes sessions where children get familiar with the school environment, teachers, and future classmates, participate in activities similar to a real school day.
District Arts Festival

Queanbeyan Performing Arts Festival (Q-PAF) is an annual variety performance showcasing the talents of over 400 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 across the Queanbeyan-Palerang area. Held at the prestigious Canberra Theatre, the festival provides students with an authentic, professional performance experience in front of a large audience.
Each year, performances align with a central artistic theme, incorporating dance, drama, vocal, and instrumental pieces. Schools prepare a 5–9 minute performance and also rehearse for an engaging whole-cast finale.
